Gummadikaya Avaa Petti Koora

Smt Kshithija Natarajan½ Kg Pumpkin (Gummadikaya)
1 big cup grated coconut (fresh/ desiccated)
½ cup mustard powder
½ tbsp Jeera
5 Green chilli
2 Dry red chilli
Heengh pinch
Small pc Cinnamon
2 Cardamom
½ tsp Turmeric
4 tsp Oil
Garnish-coriander leaves, curry leaves and podina leaves

Remove skin of Pumkin and cut to pieces.
Grind all the masala in the above list.
Take a pan heat oil and temper with mustard, chana dal and black gram (optional).
Add pumpkin and simmer covered till 5-10min. Add masala, stir and cook till done.
Before removing from heat add coriander leaves, curry leaves and podina leaves.
Serve with steamed rice and ghee.
